Participatory archiving is a time-consuming process, and it can take at least six months to plan an event and another six months after the event to create a digital collection.
The RoPA Developers created this sample timeline, broken into three parts (Before the Event, At the Event, and After the Event) based on the experience of a variety of libraries, cultural institutions, and community groups. It is intended only as a guide as every Project Team will need to consider realistic timeframes given the resources available in their community.
